About the Founder
Simon de Meo brings 19 years in executive search, with the past 15 years dedicated to legal and compliance appointments. After transitioning to legal search at Norman Broadbent in London, he developed expertise in cross-border placements. His seven years at Major, Lindsey & Africa further deepened his international practice across US, European, and Middle Eastern markets.
As Founder & Managing Director of Pembroke Soames, he leads the firm's legal and compliance search practice. His practice focuses on senior legal counsel and compliance officers across all levels. Working extensively across the US, UK, Europe, and Middle East, Simon combines deep local market knowledge with broad international experience, making him equally effective in building domestic teams and supporting cross-border growth.
Originally from England, Simon established his career in London working with UK, European, and Middle Eastern legal departments before relocating to Washington DC, in 2019. This multi-market experience enables him to serve clients effectively across three continents, understanding both local nuances and international requirements.
Simon has built trusted relationships with in-house legal leaders through his track record of successful placements and commitment to understanding each client's specific requirements, whether local or international.
Outside of work, Simon enjoys cooking, cycling, traveling, and spending time with family and friends. He also maintains a keen interest in the arts.
